Cross-Country.

Cross- Country
As the middle school and up walks slowly to Farndon park on September the 6th, I felt nervous. Today we are doing cross country. In five, or so minutes we get to a huge field, the field we are going to run on. Then all the kids go and sit down in their age groups. After we all settled down Mr Basset told us the the 8 year old group was going first. After their warm up Mr Basset shouted ready...set....GO!!!!! The girls raced to each 4 rugby post and around the tennis court back to the Finish line. The crowd cheered like crazy!! Cerys came 1st. My friend, Lily came 7th. She did an awesome job, and so did all the other people!!!!

Next up were the 8 year old boys. They did warm ups and then Mr Basset shouted ready.... set.......GO!!!!!!!!! and banged the two pieces of wood together. The boys raced over the field like wind, around 4 rugby posts and around the tennis court and straight to the finish line.

Now it was our turn, the 9 year olds turn. We started of with a couple of warm ups. Then as we got in line, ready to race Mr Basset shouted ready.... set.......GO!!!!!!!!!! I raced as fast as I can around four posts around the tennis court and back to the finish line squeaking and puffing. Mr Basset asked me if I wanted to finish the race and I said no, so I watched  the others finish the race. After the 10y/11y raced, Mr Basset told us to line up in our group, put our drink bottle away and put our shoes on. When we were all ready we headed back for lunch, and that is how my day went on September the 6th, Cross-Country.
